Yesterday, we sent you information concerning: "US Patent 2,128,262 - Carbon monoxide manufacture"; which was issued and assigned, in 1938, to New York's then Semet-Solvay Engineering Corporation.
The patent discloses, as they put it: "a technology for an efficient and economical process for the manufacture of carbon monoxide of high purity by the reduction of carbon dioxide".
Their process entails, in it's essence, passing CO2, from whatever source, over and through red-hot Coal, a concept that should not, presuming you to have followed our posts, be unfamiliar to you; and, thereby, generating what we would presume to be, if wanted, rather prodigious quantities of Carbon Monoxide.

Herein is yet more evidence that we have, as a nation, known officially since at least as far back as WWII that Carbon Dioxide can be recycled into Gasoline.
The Standard Oil process disclosed by the US Patent we're sending along in this dispatch describes, in essence, variations of both "bi-reforming" and "tri-reforming" technologies, which we have explained several times previously; and, in which Carbon Dioxide is reacted with Methane, and/or with Steam, and made thereby to form a hydrocarbon synthesis gas which can, via one of several known processes, be catalytically condensed into liquid hydrocarbons.

A team of accomplished scientists has established a fairly new company out in Colorado, perhaps to take advantage of all the Carbon Dioxide escaping from the rather well-known brewery out there that famously employs "Rocky Mountain Spring Water" in the making of beer; a beverage that, as soon as you pour a glass, starts doing it's part, through foaming, to, if you subscribe to greenhouse theories, contribute to warming the globe while at the same time cooling you off.
Information accessible via the initial link in this dispatch tells us that:
"New Sky Energy is a carbon negative energy and manufacturing company. Our proprietary capture process scrubs CO2 from the air or flue gas and converts it into safe, stable solids. These solids can in turn be incorporated into building materials, durable goods, fertilizers and other manufactured products. By converting CO2 into useful products we give consumers and manufacturers the opportunity to fight global warming simply by making smart buying choices.

The corn ethanol folks concerning Liquid Light, who have been cited in Coaltl a number of times, they are the Princeton spinoff commercializing the Bocarsly and Cole CO2 to ethanol & etc tech's developed at Princeton U. Liquid Light's CO2 to plastics, etc., tech is being presented as a way to maximize the value of biofuel factories, by, as Audi is doing in Europe, capturing the CO2 byproduct of fermentation and then converting it into hydrocarbon products of value. One would presume you could do the same thing, with an admittedly higher degree of difficulty, with the CO2 byproduct of combustion. Again, this is being presented as a way to maximize the value of commercial processes that coproduce CO2. Seems strange that such seeming opportunity for jobs and industries has so little apparent interest.
