Being part of the group who appealed EPA’s MATS rule we were advised that EPA has extended the comment period on the proposed MATS Reconsideration Rule by 7 days until January 7, 2013. Below is a link to the Federal Register notice that was published on Wednesday, extending the public comment period. The reason given for the extension is that the proposed rule was published “in the ‘Rules and Regulations’ section of the Federal Register, rather than in the ‘Proposed Rules’ section.” A correction document was published December 5, 2012 (77 Fed. Reg. 72294).
