Wood County Delegate Dies Following Stroke
Wood County Republican Delegate Larry Border died Wednesday evening after suffering a massive stroke Tuesday evening.
Border, who turned 60 last Friday, was serving his 11th term in the House of Delegates, having won his first election in 1990.

MORGANTOWN -- The developer of a $2 billion coal-fired power plant in northern West Virginia says the project has reached a key milestone.
Longview Power said Monday that its plant in Maidsville has begun generating electricity. Commercial operations are expected to begin this summer.
Longview Power says hiring for the 695-megawatt plant is nearly complete. The plant will have 96 employees.
