As of November 4, 2008, SASOL's jet fuel, made from coal, is approved by the UK's Ministry of Defence for use in their war planes.
You should by now be on the trail of our US Air Force's efforts to develop it's own coal-based jet fuel through programs at the Universities of Dayton and North Dakota.
