ICG Eastern Holds Arbor Day Celebration

Mike Duvall, Keith O’Dell and the enthusiastic staff at ICG Eastern, LLC’s  Birch River Operations hosted their fourth annual Arbor Day celebration on Thursday.  In addition to the usual great lunch, the well-attended ceremony included informative presentations on the significance of the operation to the county and the state, a demonstration of water quality improvements that have resulted from the mining operations and a high-energy tree planting effort that allowed the students from nearby Webster County schools to get hands-on experience with native hardwood seedlings.
