Garvin Appointed Region 3 Administrator

Last Friday (11/6), the EPA announced the appointment of Shawn M. Garvin as the Administrator for EPA’s Region 3, which covers West Virginia.  Region 3 is headquartered in Philadelphia and also includes the states of Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.  Garvin currently serves as Region 3’s Senior State and Congressional Liaison. He joined EPA in 1997, serving as Special Assistant to the Regional Administrator. Prior to that, Garvin worked for then-Senator Joe Biden and County Executive Dennis Greenhouse. Garvin earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware.
