Andrew Jordon, president of Pritchard Mining Company, Inc., has been named chairman of the West Virginia Coal Association Board of Directors, Association President Bill Raney announced today.
Jordon, who is from Charleston, was officially named board chairman during the West Virginia Coal Association's annual meeting held last weekend. Jordon succeeds Randy Hansford, of Riverton Coal Production.
"We' re entering a year of great promise. And I think it's appropriate that the industry has chosen Andrew Jordon, a person earned respect throughout our industry, to lead the board," said Raney.
"As an industry we have great dreams and expectations. Andrew would like to see us fulfill many of those dreams, but he will help us make sure that our dreams are substantive and achievable."
Kevin Crutchfield (Alpha Natural Resources) was named 1st vice-chairman and Ben Statler (PinnOak Resources) was named 2nd vice-chairman. John Hill (Eastern Associated Coal Corp/Peabody) was named secretary, John Snider (Arch Coal) Asst. Secretary, Paul Vining (Magnum Coal) treasurer, Ben Hatfield (International Coal Group) assistant treasurer and Dan Pochick (Rish Equipment Company) associate division chairman.
