Morgan Spurlock's "30 Days" segment on coal mining will debut on the Fx channel on June 3rd at 10:00 p.m.  You may recall that Morgan is a native of Beckley who became famous with his documentary "Super Size Me".  He has a series on the cable channel Fx in which he lives the life of people in different professions, situations and conditions for a full thirty days.  Being a proud West Virginian, Morgan wanted to do one of the segments on the life of a West Virginia coal miner and Jim Justice allowed the filming to be done at one of Bluestone's mines in Wyoming County.  Morgan got his underground apprentice card in order to be able to work in the mine and he spent more than thirty days with Dale Lusk and his family.  A description of the series and this particular program can be found at http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/30days/episodeguide.php.  A national premiere reception is being planned for June 2nd in Beckley.
