| WVCA Re-elects Andrew Jordon As Chairman Of The Board |

At their annual meeting this past weekend the West Virginia Coal Association re-elected Andrew Jordon of Pritchard Mining Company to a second term as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Pritchard Mining is located at Hansford, WV and has operations in Boone and Kanawha Counties. As indicated by their unanimous election, the members of the Association are thrilled to have Jordon represent them and the coal industry for another year. Jordon says he is honored to have the opportunity to continue the work that he started during his previous term as Chairman. “I’m excited to carry on the things that were started this past year in the midst of constant scrutiny and backlash from those who oppose the coal industry,” stated Jordon. Jordon is well aware of the current opposition facing the coal industry and hopes to have another successful year representing all those who are a part of the industry In addition to Jordon, the Association elected the following officers to terms through August, 2008. First Vice-Chairman / Kevin Crutchfield (Alpha Natural Resources) Second Vice-Chairman / Ben Statler (PinnOak Resources) Treasurer / Paul Vining (Magnum Coal) Assistant Treasurer / Kent Hartsog (Eastern Associated Coal/Peabody) Secretary / Ben Hatfield (ICG) Assistant Secretary / John Snider (Arch Coal) Chairman of the Associate Members / Dan Pochick (Rish Equipment) Along with several of the officers noted above, the following were elected to the Association Board of Directors for terms ending in 2010.
